This week, as everyone in the EDM multiverse is making their WMC plans, I serve up, not so much a mix but a compilation. Cr2 Records has enlisted the aide of tastemakers, MYNC and Nicky Romero, to craft a sonic party machine for their Miami takeover. Since 2007 Cr2 Live & Direct mixes have been tossing out sweet treats from some of the best house talents going, and this massive collection is no exception.

Going 15 unreleased tracks strong, the gauntlet is thrown right out of the box with the VIP of Chuckie’s, “What Happens In Vegas,” with its buzzing synths and guitar strummed breakdown. This runs headlong into the Lunde Bros. “Some Kind of Monster,” which surges like the tide dragging along the ocean floor before erupting to the surface like an aural tsunami. MYNC weighs in with the locked in groove of “Stadium,” to keep the crowd on their feet. Other standouts include the roof blowing build up on Kura’s, “Love Will Find of You,” as well as the breathless vocals on Stevie Mink and Katt Niall’s, “Everyday.” Saving the best for last, Azari & III is on here. Does it really matter what it is? You know it’s going to be amazing. (Ok, if you must know, it’s actually an MYNC remix of, “Reckless With Your Love.”)

At any rate, if you’re a regular of this blog, this isn’t just right up your alley, it’s a dead bowled strike. You can grab the whole thing on Beatport, and you should also know that, should you be at Miami’s music megaplex, Cr2 will be hosting the dynamic duo of MYNC & Nicky Romero at, “Back 2 Back.” To find more about all of the above, don’t forget to take a stroll through the Cr2 website. And if you do happen to find your self round Miami way, don’t forget to go hard.
